GREENFIELD — Greenfield Community Center will host a number of activities through the week. Today, Zumba begins at 8:15 a.m. and a vaccination clinic begins at 3:45 p.m. On Aug. 12, art with seniors begins at 9:30 a.m., Zumba at 6 p.m. and karate at 7 p.m. On Aug. 13, Zumba begins at 8:15 a.m., art and sculpture class at 1 p.m., ballet at 6 p.m. and karate at 7 p.m. On Aug. 14, ballet begins at 9:15 a.m.


COLLEGE REGISTRATION

SALINAS VALLEY — Hartnell College will host fall registration fairs at its education centers in King City and Soledad. The new Soledad center at 1505 Metz Road will have its next round of registration fairs on Aug. 17, with the first round having taken place last night. The King City center at 117 N. Second St. will have both an Aug. 12 and 19 registration fair. All events are scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The first in each city’s fairs has a focus on application and financial aid. The second fair will focus on placement and registration.


BICYCLE GROUP

KING CITY — The second ride for the King City Bicycle Cruise will take place Aug. 15, with two different routes to accommodate different skill levels. Riders of all ages and abilities can attend the casual group cruise beginning at 4 p.m., which will be slower and shorter. Experienced, faster riders can join the distance ride, taking place at 8 a.m. A mini workshop will be held at 3:30 p.m. Workshop and start points will be at King City Recreation Hall parking lot at 401 Division St.

BONUS BRIEF: POOLS OPEN

KING CITY — As the school year starts, youth can still hit the pools at King City Pool, which will remain open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Pools open at noon for lap swim and 1 to 4 p.m. for recreational swim.
