Robert Torres of King City passed away on February 19, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was 59.
Robert was born on March 12, 1957 in Rupert Idaho to Miguel and Guadalupe Torres. Robert came to Monterey County with his family from Idaho and settled in Greenfield. He Graduated from King City High School where he participated in track and football. It was there he met the love of his life, Rosemary Medina. They married in 1979. Robert worked at L.A. Hearne before he began working as a bus driver at King City High School where he worked for 22 years.
Robert was a family man and a great friend. He was a kind soul with a contagious smile and he will be remembered by many as a good man who would do anything he could for anyone who needed his help.
He is survived by his wife Rosemary, his two daughters Valerie and Laura, and his two grandchildren Kaiden and Rylie, his mother Guadalupe Torres, his brothers and sisters, Linda DeShazer, Gloria Torres (David), Ciria Caoagan (Terry), Louis Torres (Merlinda), Stella Torres-Rosas (Richard), Martin Torres (Eleanor), Terrie Castro (Art), Mary Torres (Armando) Rick Torres, Lucy Flores (James), Jesse Torres (Teresa) and many nieces and nephews.
He is proceeded in death by his father Miguel Torres Sr. and his brother Miguel “Mike” Torres II.
Services were held on Friday February, 24th at St. John’s Church.
