KING CITY — Hundreds of community members turned out Oct. 13 for the King City Ciclovía, which transformed the downtown area into a vibrant hub for walkers, cyclists, runners and other forms of non-motorized movement to enjoy the streets safely while promoting a healthier lifestyle.

The day was filled with engaging activities, entertainment and family-friendly attractions, featuring more than 50 volunteers and 40 organizations, businesses and entertainers who participated.

The City of King gave special thanks to event sponsors, including Transportation Agency for Monterey County, Mee Memorial Healthcare System, Rio Farms, Salinas Valley Health, SGH Holdings, Benitez Security Services and Mechanics Bank.

“You all helped make it an enjoyable day for everyone and great progress in becoming a Blue Zones community to live better, happier and longer,” stated the City. “We look forward to bringing you Ciclovía 2025!”
