KING CITY — The City of King hosted the second annual District Watch Block Parties last Thursday in each of the five city council districts as part of its public safety community outreach initiative.

All residents were invited to attend the Oct. 4 events, which included free food and entertainment as well as public safety information and the opportunity to meet city officials and police officers.

The District Watch program was formed to encourage the community to work together to make local neighborhoods safer.
