Loretta Segobia Warden, a long-time resident of King City and San Jose, died Saturday the 13th of July at the San Jose Regional Medical Center.

Born in in 1932 in Rocky Ford, Colorado, Loretta moved to King City in 1938 with her mother Orlinda Ruth Aragon Segobia and father Raymond Segobia. Loretta had 3 siblings, Jean Segobia, Raymond Segobia Jr, and Manuel Segobia.

In 1950 Loretta married Roy Douglass Copp and they had four children, Jan Copp Sowash, Douglass Copp, Deborah Copp Gregory, and Gweneth Copp Insular. Roy passed away in 1965 leaving Loretta a widowed mother of four.

She found love again with Stanley Fimowicz and married him in 1967. Together they had daughter Rhonda Fimowicz. After divorcing from Stanley in 1981, Loretta married Bruce Warden and together they raised daughter Tammy Warden Severn. Loretta was a feisty one and eventually divorced Bruce in 1990.

Loretta became a skilled aerospace technician who worked on the prototype for the first moon landing. Loretta loved good food, socializing and enjoyed her family.

She is survived by her three daughters Jan, Rhonda and Tammy, her 16 grand children, several great grand children and great great grand children.

She is preceded in death by her mother Ruth, father Raymond, her brother Raymond Jr, Manuel, and her children Doug, Deborah, and Gwen.

A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, 20 July 2019 in San Jose.
