Kirk was born on August 22, 1956 in Salinas, California. He passed away at his home on December 6, 2018 after an extended battle with cancer. He was a dedicated and devoted husband and father.
Kirk grew up in Greenfield and began working on the family farm at a young age with his siblings and parents. He graduated from King City High School and attended a two-year automotive trade school in Arizona. Shortly after that, he met his future wife, Sharon, and the two married in the fall of 1982. They went on to raise their family of three children, Clayton, Avery, and Dellene, in the home they built.
He operated his own equipment repair business and was always there to fix or repair anything his customers or friends might need. He was a very hard worker and went out of his way to make sure the job got done right. Thank you to everyone who spent time with him at the shop.
Our greatest thanks and love to Hilda, his caregiver. We are grateful for the love and comfort she provided to Kirk.He is survived by his wife and children; along with his mother, Patricia Borzini; his brother, Dale; and sister, Kelly.
There will be a private family gathering to honor Kirk. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Monterey County Agricultural & Rural Life Museum: P.O. Box 644, King City, CA 93930.
