KING CITY — A successful season was celebrated by the King City High baseball program with potluck and awards ceremony two weeks ago in the school cafeteria.

The Mustangs and Broncos just completed their final season in the Mission Trail Athletic League as they will now be members of the Mission Division of the Pacific Coast Athletic League.

Varsity baseball team awards were presented to Clay Barbree (Most Valuable Player); Cedric Perez (Mustang Award); Johnathon Bautista (Defensive Player of the Year); Jeovany Santoyo (Offensive Player of the Year); and Brian Lopez (Bob Caulk Award).

Barbree and Cedrick Perez also received All-MTAL medals for being chosen first-team all-league.

Barbree was also voted an All-County player by the Monterey County Herald.

Earning team awards for the Broncos were Caleb Hood (Pitcher of the Year); Ceasar Zepeda (Offensive Player of the Year); and Angel Trujillo (Defensive Player of the Year).
