MONTEREY COUNTY — Monterey County Cattlewomen are hosting their first-ever Western Art Show this Saturday.

The scholarship fundraiser will be held in the Seaside Room at the Monterey County Fairgrounds on Oct. 21 from noon to 8 p.m. Twenty local artists will be showcasing their paintings, drawings, western gear and jewelry.

General Admission is from 12 to 4 p.m. and includes live music from local musicians Poi Rodgers and a complimentary glass of local beer, wine or non-alcoholic beverage.

The Evening Experience, from 4 to 8 p.m., features local wine tasting, Monterey County Cattlemen’s hors d’oeuvres and live music by South Monterey County musicians Crossroads.

Tickets are available at montereycountycattlewomen.org and on Eventbrite. Tickets can also be purchased at both L.A. Hearne locations in King City and Prunedale and at the door.

Proceeds from this event will be used to grow the Cattlewomen’s scholarship program and better support Monterey County students wanting to further their education in agriculture. This year’s winners, Carly Vorwerck, Jesse Ledezma and Sage Flores, were each awarded $1,000.
