Maria Trinidad Salazar, 98 of King City passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at her home with her family by her side.

Maria was born November 23, 1919 in Zacatecas, Mexico. She enjoyed tending to her rose garden, listening to music and visiting with her friends. She was married for 70 years to Cecilio Salazar until he passed away in 2010.

Maria was a devoted catholic and a long time parishioner of St. John’s Catholic Church in King City.

She is survived by her daughters, Lupe Juarez, Josefina Ortiz and husband Juan, Juanita Espino and husband Lorenzo; sons, Jesus Salazar and wife Aurora, Salvador Salazar and wife Ellie; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Those wishing to do so may make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org in her honor.

A Recitation of the Rosary was said at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July16, 2018 and a Funeral Mass was held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. Services were held at St. John’s Catholic Church in King City. Mrs. Salazar was laid to rest beside her husband in King City District Cemetery following the Funeral Mass.
