KING CITY — The King City Lady Mustangs celebrated the season and its senior players with an intra-squad game between the varsity and JV players on Tuesday, May 8.

Senior players recognized for their commitment to the softball program were: Julie Arreola, Buddy Camaho, Mari Cenobio, Mikey Davis, Megan Flores, Chelsey Lopez and Caroline Martinez.

After the game that was officiated by Chip Kosty, the players joined their families for hot dog and sausage barbecue that was provided by Richard and Frank Partida.

The following day the Lady Mustangs had another reason to celebrate as they finished as the Coastal Athletic League co-champions with the Greenfield Lady Bruins. King City played the York School and beat the Falcons, 12-3. Megan Flores, Mikayla Davis, and Ivy Hearne each had a double and Buddy Camacho hit a triple and two singles.

King City finished the regular season with an 11-4 mark in the Coastal League.
