KING CITY — Rotary Club of King City has announced the first-ever Rabbit Run 5K, which will be held Saturday, April 16.

The inaugural Rabbit Run, set for 9 a.m. at the King City Golf Course, will be a festive, timed, fun run or walk to encourage wellness in the community. Event proceeds will support King City in Bloom and the Rotary Club of King City Foundation scholarship program.

“We are excited to produce a new event that will showcase King City in Bloom’s beautification projects and bring people together for healthy competition,” said TJ Plew-Hearne, event committee member.

Race participants can choose to run or walk the 5-kilometer (3.1 mile) course that begins and ends at the King City Golf Course Pro Shop, traversing through nearby streets and the golf course.

Racers will receive an event T-shirt and commemorative participation ribbon. Age group prizes will be awarded to those that enter the 5K run at the conclusion of the event.

Registration is available online at webscorer.com/RabbitRun2022 and entry forms are at the King City Chamber of Commerce. Race day registration will also be available on the day of the event beginning at 8 a.m.
