King City Police investigate shots fired at home

KING CITY — King City police officers responded to the 300 block of North San Lorenzo Street to investigate a report of shots fired at a home that had just occurred at about 1:25 p.m. on Aug. 16.

When they arrived on scene, officers determined that two rounds had struck the residence, but no one had been injured from the gunfire.

Several vehicles were seen leaving the area at the time of the shooting. The vehicles were described as a blue four-door sedan and a black full-size pickup truck.

“It is unknown at this time if the residence struck by gunfire was targeted or was collateral damage,” police said in a news release. “No additional information will be released at this time as the investigation is ongoing.”

Members of the community are urged to contact Sgt. John Dow at 831-386-5969 if they are able to provide information to assist the investigation.
