KING CITY — Officers from the King City Police Department and deputy sheriffs from the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office responded to a physical fight involving multiple subjects in the 1000 block of Broadway Street on Aug. 30 at about 7:22 p.m.

A group of juveniles matching the description of the subjects was located and detained, as well as an adult female who was standing nearby. The investigation determined that an adult female victim had been battered by two of the subjects who were being detained by officers.
