KING CITY — Salinas Valley State Prison EAC recently donated $1,500 to the King City High School softball program.

According to KCHS Mustang Bench, the funds will go toward purchasing new uniforms and equipment for the girls.

“We appreciate you so much, thank you for investing in our Lady Mustangs,” stated the nonprofit organization, which includes parents, community members and coaches, in a social media post March 9.

The Lady Mustangs are currently 4-4 overall this season in the Mission Division.

They played Santa Catalina School at home on Tuesday and will travel to Gonzales on Thursday.
