John McNett beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, left his earthly body on July 1, 2018 and is now present with the Lord.

John’s aim was to please God in every aspect of his life.

In 1957 John married the love of his life, Anna Bacca McNett. Just last year they celebrated 60 years of married life! They welcomed five children into their family, Mark (Diane), Mary (Pat), Lisa (Russell), Lori (Frank), and Chris (Jeanette).

John enjoyed all sports, especially skiing and tennis. He was active in Boy Scouts and was the president of the Madonna Del Sasso school board, as well as the president and vice president of the Madonna parents club and a Knights of Columbus member.

While living in Salinas John served the poor at Dorothy’s place for many years.

John said that during their later years in King City the Lord favored them in becoming his instruments in various ways. His Pastor wished to begin a charity for the poor and needy of their community. To that end, John and Anne were able to open and operate a Saint Vincent DePaul thrift store and food pantry. John was also involved in a prison ministry, “Loaves and Fishes” and he and Anne served as Eucharistic ministers at their church.

John will be remembered for his love of his Savior, his wife and his family. He will also be remembered for his passion of wanting others to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

A Rosary will be said on August 5th at St. John’s Church in King City at 7:00 PM.

The Memorial services will be on August 6th at St. John’s Church in King City at 10:00 AM.
