Jesus Joel Rodriguez, 55, passed away on August 9, 2018 in Monterey, CA. He was born on March 15, 1963 in Weslaco, Texas to Isaac and Juanita Rodriguez. Joel previously worked as a custodian at the King City Union School District for over 30 years.

Joel loved baseball and was an avid fan of the Oakland A’s. He was a coach for little league coaching the teams during the championships, even back to back. He was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Broncos. He was very sociable and loved playing card games, especially Dominoes. He enjoyed rebuilding cars and attending car shows. He also enjoyed bbqs and attending the summer concerts at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk; it brought him a lot of joy. His family and friends will miss him greatly.

Joel is survived by his wife of 31 years, “Missy” and his sons, Marc (Kristen) Rodriguez and Jacob (Aliya) Rodriguez, Mother, Juanita Q.Rodriguez and in-laws, Robert and Tonie Tamez along with 7 siblings, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation was held on Monday, Aug. 13, 2018 5-8pm with a Rosary vigil at 7pm, all at St. John the Baptist Church 504 N.Third St. KIng City, CA 93930.

Funeral Mass took place on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018 10am at St. John the Baptist Church.

Burial followed at the King City District Cemetery, 1010 Broadway St. King City, CA 93930.

A Reception was held following services at the Orradre Building – SVF (King City Fairgrounds).
