KING CITY — Monterey County Sheriff’s Office coroner detectives are investigating after human remains were discovered in the Salinas Riverbed near King City on Oct. 23.
The identity and sex of the deceased have not been determined because of the advanced state of decomposition, the Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.
A forensic examination has been scheduled in an effort to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
