KING CITY — Volunteers from the Community Food Pantry collect donations from South County residents in the King City High School parking lot last Saturday.

The two-day collection event, in its fifth year, took in an estimated four truck loads of donated goods to be taken to the Goodwill, and is one of the Food Pantry’s major fundraisers, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the King City organization to provide food for those in need.

The collections are held twice yearly, with the next event planned for fall 2018.
