KING CITY — Megan Flores, a junior post player for the King City High Lady Mustang basketball team, was selected to the All-Monterey County Basketball team by the Monterey County Herald.

Flores, the 17-year-old daughter of Ralph and Joy Flores of King City is a three-sport athlete on the King City High teams.

“I found out about making the All-County team from my dad,” said Megan. “He showed me John Devine’s Twitter of the roster of the All-County players.”

Flores was a force for the Lady Mustangs averaging 14.1 points per game and completing double-double for the season with 11 rebounds per game. Flores also led the team in blocked shots and steals and at 5’9 provided a strong defensive presence.

Flores is currently playing on the Lady Mustang softball team and excelled as a setter on the varsity volleyball team.

“My plans for my senior year are to get good grades and play all three sports and improve my stats,” said Flores. “I want to play at the college level when I graduate. My favorite sports are volleyball and basketball and my favorite subjects are American History, Animal Science, and PE.”
