KING CITY — Three-year-old Scarlett Williams (above right) and 2-year-old Silvia Mendez (center) are among the swarms of children hunting for eggs at the annual King City Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt last Saturday.

More than 15 Lions Club members and their families worked overnight to prepare 3,000 hard-boiled eggs and special prize eggs to hide at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds. Children also got to meet and have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny and possibly win an Easter basket.

Below, the first group of families is led through the fairgrounds by the Easter Bunny on their way to the starting areas for the April 1 hunt.
