KING CITY — King City High School FFA hosted the annual Donkey Basketball competition last Wednesday night in front a large crowd that nearly packed the school’s gym to watch the three games.

In the first game of the evening, the King City Young Farmers defeated the King City FFA Club Officers. For the eighth year in a row, the Young Farmers were victorious.

In the second game, the King City teachers beat the King City Police Department, and in the final contest of the night, the FFAs from Soledad and Greenfield high schools combined to claim a win over the King City FFA Chapter.

The Feb. 21 event featured some unique shot attempts and some stubborn donkeys, but a good time was had by all in attendance. The competition was planned as part of National FFA Week, Feb. 19-23.
