JOLON — Four people were killed in a head-on crash on June 13 near the intersection of Jolon and Mission roads in South Monterey County.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota Corolla and a Honda Civic collided at around 6:20 a.m. after the Corolla crossed the centerline into the southbound lane of Jolon Road, north of Mission Road.

All four occupants of the Corolla died from the crash. The three passengers, Xiong Lee, 44, and Pa Vue, 36, both of Fresno, and Malisa Moua, 52, of Merced, died at the scene. The driver, Mary Lee, 45, of Fresno, was airlifted to a hospital and later died of her injuries.

The Civic’s driver, identified as Thomas Boots III, 43, of Hughson, suffered major injuries and was also airlifted to a hospital. His current condition was not immediately known.

Everyone was wearing seatbelts and no one was ejected from their vehicle, CHP said.
