MONTEREY COUNTY — Roadway improvement projects for several Monterey County intersections within unincorporated Carmel, South County, North County and rural areas of Salinas began Monday, with an anticipated completion date of Feb. 11.

Improvements will include installation of new stop line and stop legend markings at various locations in Chualar, San Ardo, Bradley, Lockwood, Carmel (Atherton Drive), Spreckels and the Aromas/Moss Landing areas.

Work will begin in the South Monterey County communities, and will conclude in the North Monterey County area.

Work hours for this project are from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Traffic control measures will be in place, and motorists may experience periodic delays.

“Every effort is being made to accommodate commuters and complete the work as safely and quickly as possible,” the county stated in a news release.

Management Analyst Bonnie Perez is the county’s designated point of contact for these improvements to receive questions and coordinate with agencies to provide a collective response. She can be reached through email at [email protected].
