MONTEREY COUNTY — County of Monterey Department of Public Works, Facilities and Parks is alerting residents and commuters of ongoing roadway improvement projects scheduled for 28 locations throughout the county within Carmel Valley, South County, North County and rural areas of Salinas.

Work began Monday, June 12, and should be completed June 30. Roadwork improvements include centerline striping and pavement markings.

In southern Monterey County, work will be done on Arroyo Seco Road (west of Greenfield) and New Pleyto Road (west of Bradley).

Work hours for these projects are from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Traffic control measures will be in place and motorists may experience periodic delays.

“Every effort is being made to accommodate commuters and complete the work as quickly as possible,” said County officials in a news release.

The County has a designated point of contact for these improvements to receive questions and coordinate with agencies to provide a collective response: Raul Martinez, assistant engineer; email [email protected].
