SOUTH COUNTY — A series of three fair housing community workshops are scheduled this month in Monterey, Castroville and Gonzales.

“The workshops will invite residents to discuss housing discrimination and difficulties in finding housing,” said Project Associate Jessie Hernandez. “We’d like to understand the community’s needs and begin to identify solutions to reduce housing discrimination.”

Hernandez and the Housing Authority of Monterey County would like as many residents to participate as possible.

The Gonzales workshop is set for Saturday, June 23, at the Gonzales Branch Library from noon to 2 p.m.

The Castroville workshop is scheduled for June 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Castroville Branch Library, and the Monterey workshop is June 19 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Monterey Public Library.
