SALINAS VALLEY — The regular candidate filing period for the Nov. 5 General Election has closed. However, the filing period for multiple local offices, in which an eligible incumbent did not file, has been extended until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14.
Offices in the Salinas Valley include:
- Hartnell Community College District, Governing Board Member, Trustee Area 2;
- Hartnell Community College District, Governing Board Member, Trustee Area 3;
- Bradley Union School District, two Governing Board Members;
- Chualar Union School District, Governing Board Member, Trustee Area 1, two-year term;
- Chualar Union School District, Governing Board Member, Trustee Area 2;
- King City Union School District, Governing Board Member;
- Mission Union Elementary School District, three Governing Board Members;
- San Antonio Union School District, Governing Board Member;
- Gonzales Rural Fire Protection District, Director;
- Soledad Community Healthcare District, Director;
- City of Greenfield, Council Member, District 1;
- City of Salinas, Mayor;
- City of Salinas, Council Member, District 1;
- San Ardo Water District (contact district); and
- San Lucas County Water District (contact district).
