KING CITY — King City Boxing Club had four boxers compete at the Silver Gloves state boxing tournament on Dec. 17-19 in Compton, Calif.

Eight-year-old Andre Mosqueda, an 80-pound fighter, captured the championship by split decision, making him Silver Gloves champion in his weight class.

The other three boxers, Bryan Cruz, Miguel Hernandez and Dylan Bonilla, came in second place in their weight classes after losing in the final round by split decision.

The King City boxers are trained by Head Coach Rodolfo Tapia.
