I am Abe Hernandez and I’ve lived my whole life in King City and have a business that I’ve operated for 40 years. King City is MY community and I want to see it continue being safe, having an available fire department with updated equipment, and be able to drive on streets that are maintained and or replaced as needed.

I am active with St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, The Knights of Columbus, and I teach catechism classes for the youth. I also referee soccer games, and much more. I do this because I love my community. I want our families to have a safe community and that’s why we need Measure P to pass.

This small increase will continue assuring that our city is protected adequately. If we don’t say “Yes” to this measure, we will start going backward in a few years as we will lose the sales tax income that we have now. I don’t think any of us want that to happen. We want to move forward and take care of our town.

Our amazing community is made up of active, caring folks that we see on a daily basis at our schools, sporting events, at the grocery stores and any number of our many, many community events. We need your help now to assure that our town continues to be a safe place to live for our kids, our families and our friends.

Local sales tax stays in our town for our city use. All of it stays right here. Please vote on election day, let’s pass Measure P for our police department, volunteer fire department and to maintain our city streets.
