KING CITY — “Anything Goes” opened at the Robert Stanton Theater in King City last weekend and audiences are raving. Get ready to laugh, tap your toes and be swept away by the high-energy charm of classic musical theater as the show’s run continues through April 25.

Produced by Sol Treasures and Center Stage Theatrical Productions, this beloved Cole Porter musical is directed by Jeff Hinderscheid, with choreography by Beau Rodriguez and Parker Lowrie. Packed with witty dialogue, unforgettable songs and lively dance numbers, “Anything Goes” delivers a hilarious and fast-paced voyage full of romance, mistaken identities and show-stopping entertainment, brought to life by a vibrant cast of 34 performers.

The production features a talented cast of local performers, including Jamie Jones as Reno Sweeney, Jeff Hinderscheid as Billy Crocker, Eileen Bennett as Mrs. Harcourt, Francis Girard as Eli Whitney and Kent Robinson as the Captain.

They are joined by a dynamic group of Monterey County actors: Beau Rodriguez (Hope Harcourt), Lloyd Brewer (Moonface Martin), Brian Steen-Larsen (Lord Evelyn Oakleigh) and Jacquie Aguilar-Madrigal (Erma). These performers bring a wealth of experience, having worked with respected regional companies, such as The Western Stage, Pacific Repertory Theatre and Paper Wing Theatre.

Set aboard a transatlantic ocean liner, “Anything Goes” is a madcap musical comedy filled with disguises, love triangles and toe-tapping numbers like “You’re the Top” and “I Get a Kick Out of You.” Audiences of all ages will enjoy this lighthearted, high-energy production that celebrates the golden age of musical theater.

Performance dates are April 18, 24 and 25 at 7 p.m., and April 19 at 2 p.m.
