KING CITY — Hands That Help SoMoCo, a dedicated volunteer organization committed to community support, once again demonstrated its generosity and unity with a successful fundraising event held on July 23 at King City Grill.

The event aimed to support Erin Daines, a local “home-grown girl” currently battling breast cancer.

The fundraiser featured popular raffles and an online auction, which drew enthusiastic participation from the community. The organization extended its appreciation to all donors and supporters who contributed to the event’s success.

Organized entirely by volunteers from Gonzales to Bradley, the event was a testament to the community’s solidarity. As a 100% volunteer-driven organization operating without a budget, all proceeds from meal ticket sales were donated directly to King City Grill, while 100% of donations collected during the event were given to Daines that same evening.

A special “shout-out” and thank you was extended to donors, volunteers, attendees and Ron at King City Grill for their vital roles in making the event possible. “We could not do this without you,” the organization stated.

Looking ahead, Hands That Help SoMoCo announced plans for its next event on Oct. 22, with Robin Borzini as the upcoming recipient. The group reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to supporting “local residents facing health challenges” and fostering community spirit.
