MONTEREY COUNTY — Monterey County Administrative Office has announced the hiring of Nicholas M. Pasculli as county communications director.
Pasculli, who begins his duties on Feb. 14, will lead the county’s communications programs and advise the Board of Supervisors and the County Administrative Officer on the formulation, strategic development, implementation and evaluation of the county’s communications programs, community and government relations, crisis management and media relations activities.
A key component of his responsibilities will be to develop and implement a plan to coordinate and integrate all county communications assets and to serve as principal spokesperson on countywide issues.
Prior to his selection as county communications director, Pasculli was president of TMD Creative, a Salinas-based firm providing marketing, communications and creative services to business, government agencies and nonprofits. He also has held positions with the American Red Cross, ITT World Communications, the Bank of New York, the Bank of Salinas, Tanimura & Antle, Naturipe Berry Growers and D’Arrigo Brothers.
Pasculli has a bachelor’s degree from California State University Fresno and a master’s degree from Loyola University. In addition, he graduated from Leadership Salinas Valley, the Cornell University Leadership Program and the California Agricultural Leadership Program.
