KING CITY — Two students from King City High School were arrested last week after they were found to be in possession of brass knuckles and lockback folding knives while on school grounds.

On Feb. 26, at about 2 p.m., King City police officers responded to the school at 720 Broadway St. to conduct a followup investigation regarding a fight that occurred earlier in the day. The officers contacted a pair of 15-year-old boys during the investigation, and each was found with the banned weapons.

“Both juveniles were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Monterey County Juvenile Hall, where they were lodged,” police said in a news release.

Anyone with further information is encouraged to call Officer Juan Rodriguez at 831-386-5978, the King City Police Department at 831-386-5980 or the WeTip line at 1-800-78-CRIME. Calls may remain anonymous.

“The investigation is continuing,” police said.
