SALINAS VALLEY — Dozens of employers from multiple industry sectors are expected to attend the South Monterey County Job Fair at the Soledad Community Center next Wednesday.

Monterey County Workforce Development Board (MCWDB), the City of Soledad and the Soledad Parks and Recreation District have teamed up to sponsor the in-person event to help residents get back to work locally.

“We are strongly committed to serving South Monterey County and are pleased to be partnering with the City of Soledad on this job fair,” said MCWDB Executive Director Christopher Donnelly. “We look forward to seeing job seekers and employers from all South County communities there and giving them the opportunity to connect.”

Anyone looking for a job or considering a new career in Monterey County is welcome to attend the South Monterey County Job Fair on Wednesday, Nov. 10, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Soledad Community Center, 560 Walker Drive, in Soledad.

Job seekers are encouraged to register for this free event on Eventbrite by searching for “South Monterey County Job Fair.” Pre-registration is not required, but it is highly recommended. 

Those who register by Nov. 7 will receive a list of participating employers and a professional nametag when they arrive. Attendees will also be provided with a mask if they do not arrive with one.

“We look forward to bringing our residents and our neighbors together with many Salinas Valley employers to the Soledad Community Center to participate in our South County Job Fair,” said Soledad City Manager Brent Slama. “As we come back as a more resilient community, doing our small part to help match prospective employees with employers will help strengthen our local economy and provide meaningful growth opportunities for everyone in South County.”

Job seekers can expect to meet a variety of employers with current job openings, from entry-level to senior-level positions, and are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resumes and dress professionally. Some employers will be conducting onsite interviews.
