KING CITY — Multiple law enforcement agencies served three search warrants in King City early Wednesday morning, resulting in one arrest for illegal firearms.
Soledad Police Department detectives executed the warrants in the 600 block of Luckett Street, 900 block of Broadway Street and 100 block of River Drive, with assistance from Greenfield and King City police departments, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Homeland Security Investigations and the South Monterey County Task Force (SMCTF).
At one of the residences, detectives located illegally manufactured firearms — including one with a “Glock switch” that makes it fully automatic — along with numerous kits with tools and parts needed to make additional guns.
Several firearm parts were also found concealed under a 17-year-old’s leg who suffers from cerebral palsy and is bedridden, according to Soledad Police.
“The firearms were not secured and easily accessible,” police said.
Reynaldo Juarez, 23, was arrested and booked into the Monterey County Jail on a variety of charges.
Police said more arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
“Regardless of where these crimes are being committed, Soledad Police, Greenfield Police, King City Police and the SMCTF are committed to continuing these operations to keep South County safe,” police said.
