TECH WORKSHOP

GREENFIELD — A free tech workshop for seniors age 60 and up is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 7, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. inside the Chambers Room at the Greenfield Civic Center, 599 El Camino Real. Participants can learn more about online safety, online threats, anti-virus protection, Google calendar, Zoom and more. Training materials are limited, so registration is recommended by calling 831-674-5591 and speak to Braulio Fabian to register.


ROAD PROJECT

GONZALES — The road closure has been lifted on River Road at Fairview Road near Gonzales, allowing traffic to travel through the construction zone. Emergency repairs will continue from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and are scheduled to be complete by Sept. 30. Travelers are advised to reduce speeds through the construction area, and can expect delays of up to five minutes.


YOUTH PROGRAM

SALINAS VALLEY — Registration is now open for the Central Coast YMCA’s Excel Beyond the Bell, a curriculum-based, Outside of School Program. The program is offered throughout the Central Coast through the YMCA branches and in partnership with local school districts, and includes Character Development Learning Institute, Youth Fit 4 Life, Enrichment Activities and Homework Time for children.
