LIBRARY CARDS

MONTEREY COUNTY — Monterey County Free Libraries is reminding the community that September is Library Card Sign-up Month. Library cards are free and let residents check out books and DVDs, download e-books or audiobooks, get free Wi-Fi or use a computer to research and access all sorts of information. MCFL is now fine free, as well. Library branches will no longer charge fines for overdue items. Stop by a local branch, or go to emcfl.org for more information.


SUPPORT GROUP

SALINAS — Heal Together, a program of Coastal Kids Home Care, will be hosting “Support After Homicide, Suicide, and Accidental Death” group sessions via Telehealth and in-person and facilitated by retired attorney Karen Judd Lewis. The support group will connect individuals with others who have experienced similar losses. It meets weekly on Tuesdays via Telehealth, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.; and in-person from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays at Coastal Kids Home Care, 427 Pajaro St., Suite 1-3, in Salinas. PARK MOVIES

GREENFIELD — Greenfield Recreation Department will host Movies in the Park on Friday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m. at Patriot Park in Greenfield. There will be popcorn and drinks for sale during the free showing of “Minions: The Rise of Gru.” Attendees are asked to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets.
