PET ADOPTIONS
SALINAS — Animal lovers can skip the holiday shopping crowds and find their new pet this Friday, Nov. 28, at SPCA Monterey County’s free adoption event. All adoption fees are waived thanks to donations from the community. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the shelter, located at 1002 Monterey-Salinas Highway, across from WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Visitors are encouraged to view adoptable pets online beforehand at spcamc.org and arrive early, as no holds will be available during the event. Adoptions include spay or neuter, microchip, vaccinations and other essentials. The shelter will be closed on Thanksgiving but will reopen for the event on Black Friday. Those unable to adopt can participate as a Secret Santa for a shelter pet through the organization’s website. For more information, call 831-373-2631 or visit spcamc.org.
