ACTION PLAN
MONTEREY COUNTY — Monterey County Community Action Partnership will present the 2022-23 Monterey County Community Action Plan at the afternoon session of the Monterey County Board of Supervisors meeting on May 18 and encourages public comments and input on service priorities and strategies to address the needs of low-income residents. The plan is required by the California Department of Community Services and Development to receive the annual Community Services Block Grant federal funding allocation. These funds are used to provide services to help low-income families attain and maintain self-sufficiency. To view the Community Action Plan and submit written comments, go to bit.ly/3vT8RqI.
VETERINARY SUCCESS
KING CITY — Dr. Tim Cheney and his staff at the King City Veterinary Hospital have again successfully achieved accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) for the third year in a row. AAHA is the only organization that accredits veterinary practices in the United States and Canada. Practices awarded accreditation are evaluated on stringent quality standards encompassing all aspects of veterinary medicine — from pain management and patient care to team training and medical record-keeping — and are continuously updated to keep accredited practice teams at the forefront of the profession. Current statistics show that only 12% to 15% of veterinary practices achieve the AAHA-accredited designation.
