SALINAS — A blood drive will take place Wednesday, May 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hartnell College, 411 Central Ave., in Salinas. American Red Cross says it is critically important that it maintains a readily available blood supply this spring for those who rely on transfusions for treatment. SOLEDAD — Hartnell College in partnership with the City of Soledad will be hosting resume workshops on Wednesdays, May 11 and 18. The workshops will take place from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Soledad Education Center, 1505 Metz Road., in Soledad. To sign up, visit the website


GREENFIELD — A free family concert featuring the Monterey County Pops! professionals combined with Greenfield High School musicians and a guest choir from Hartnell College will take place Thursday, May 12. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the concert beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the high school’s Student Union, 225 S. El Camino Real, in Greenfield. The public is invited, and no tickets are required.
