CLASS REUNION

GONZALES — Gonzales High joint class reunion (1972-78) is just over two months away and classmates are encouraged to make their plans for the event that will take place on Sept. 6 at the Salinas Elks Lodge. Events include cocktails from 5 to 6 p.m., dinner from 6 to 7 p.m. and dancing from 7 to 10 p.m., concluding at 11 p.m. Music will be provided by DJ Homer Diaz. FREEDOM FEST

JOLON — Open to the public, Fort Hunter Liggett’s annual Freedom Fest will be held on Saturday, June 28, to celebrate Independence Day. For $5 per vehicle, attendees can enjoy live music, axe throwing, food vendors and family-friendly activities at the DeAnza Baseball Field, with gates opening at 6 p.m. The event offers a fun-filled evening for all ages, honoring the nation’s independence and showcasing the community.
