CHOWDER DINNER

KING CITY — Monterey County Agricultural and Rural Life Museum (MCARLM) presents the Drury Tankersley 30th Annual Clam Chowder Feed on Friday, Jan. 24, at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds in King City. Takeout is from 3 to 7 p.m., and dine-in will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Tickets for the all-you-can-eat dinner — featuring a new chowder recipe this year — are available online at mcarlm.org, as well as at 1st Capital Bank, Hestia, LA Hearne, The Pine Canyon Store and the King City Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture office at 200 Broadway, Suite 40.


OPEN HOUSE

SALINAS — The Teen Center at Twin Creeks Golf Course, located at 1551 Beacon Hill Drive in Salinas, will host an Open House on Saturday, Jan. 25, from 12 to 4 p.m. This free event offers an opportunity to explore cutting-edge technology and dynamic after-school programs designed to empower local teens. The event will feature hands-on demonstrations of innovative resources, including 3D printing technology, virtual reality experiences and a fully equipped music studio. The Teen Center provides a supportive space for First Tee – Monterey County members to develop skills, explore their creativity and build confidence. Financial aid is available for those who qualify. GIRLS GOLF

MONTEREY COUNTY — First Tee – Monterey County has announced the launch of the LPGA/USGA Girls Golf program, a specialized initiative designed to inspire confidence and promote healthy, active lifestyles among young girls through golf. The first eight-week session is from Jan. 25 to March 15 at Twin Creeks Golf Course in Salinas. The program is free and open to all skill levels.
