LUNCHEON MEETING

KING CITY — Southern Monterey County Republican Women Federated will host its monthly luncheon meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 11:30 a.m. at King Kora Restaurant, 611 Canal St., in King City. The subject will be “State of Two Cities,” with guest speakers King City Mayor Mike LeBarre and Greenfield Mayor Robert White. They will review the past year and what plans are in the future. FOOD DISTRIBUTION

SOLEDAD — Food Bank for Monterey County will host a pop-up food distribution in Soledad on Wednesday, Feb. 8. The free distribution will take place from 9 to 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Solitude Church, 235 Main St. Visit foodbankformontereycounty.org for more information.


NEW MEMBERS

MONTEREY COUNTY — The Board of Directors of the Transportation Agency for Monterey County has elected the following members to serve as their officers and members of the Executive Committee: Mike LeBarre, Chair; Chris Lopez, 1st Vice Chair; Dave Potter, 2nd Vice Chair; Mary Adams, Past Chair; Wendy Root Askew, County Representative; and Chaps Poduri, City Representative. Their terms begin upon their election through the next election of officers at the beginning of the Jan. 24, 2024, Board meeting.
