COMMUNITY CENTER

GONZALES — Gonzales Community Center Complex planning is still underway, with a town hall having taken place on Feb. 13. The complex is planned for Gabilan Court, with a multi-use building to be built with an adjoining new library building. City officials reminded residents to watch during the upcoming months for opportunities to give input on what they would like to see. In the meantime, the current survey can be found at surveymonkey.com/r/GONZALESCC1.

DISTRIBUTION TOTALS

GREENFIELD — Greenfield Union School District Superintendent Zandra Galvan announced that last week the Child Nutrition Department distributed 2,000 boxes of Food Bank perishable items to families. The district had anticipated a demand of 2,700 meals for children ages 1 to 18. By Feb. 11, every meal and Food Bank box available was picked up by families. Galvan said the district will continue to serve adequate numbers of meals to meet the needs of local children.
