SCHOLARSHIP LUNCHEON

KING CITY — Southern Monterey County Republican Women Federated will host its Scholarship Luncheon on Friday, April 25, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the King City Recreation Center, 401 Division St., in King City. The best cooks in town will prepare salads and lunch specialties. There will be a silent auction and raffle prizes. Jeff Pereira will provide guitar entertainment. Proceeds from this event will help fund two $1,000 scholarships for seniors in South County. Everyone is welcome to stop by for lunch or carry out. FITNESS CHALLENGE

GREENFIELD — On Saturday, April 26, the FinFit Life 5K Fitness Challenge will take place at Patriot Park, 1351 Oak Ave., in Greenfield. Participants are invited to run or walk, with proceeds going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Runners and walkers can register online at runsignup.com. Registration ends on the day of the race. Registration fees include a T-shirt. Race time is set for 8:30 a.m. The event gives runners of all levels to continue an active lifestyle and to contribute to breast cancer awareness. CEMETERY CLEANUP

SOLEDAD — Volunteers are invited to participate in a cleanup day at the Soledad Cemetery, 1711 Metz Road, on Saturday, April 26. The cleanup will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For any questions, call 831-678-3491.
