Don Bolin of Soledad and Blas Trujillo of Greenfield were named to the Summer 2024 President’s List at Southern New Hampshire University. The summer terms run from May to August. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum GPA of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President’s List.
Noelia Martinez of Greenfield was named to Biola University’s Dean’s List for academic excellence. Martinez, a cinema and media arts major, was one of approximately 1,500 students who were named to the Dean’s List in spring 2024. Biola students are placed on the list to honor those with a GPA of 3.6 or higher while enrolled in 12 or more credits and whose cumulative GPA is at least 3.2.
Michael Tavale of Gonzales earned a Master of Science in cyber operations in the summer 2024 term and was named to the President’s List at University of Maryland Global Campus. To qualify for the list, a student must have graduated with a bachelor’s or master’s degree and a cumulative GPA of 4.0.
Maya Avalos of Soledad was among over 750 students who earned named scholarships at Baldwin Wallace University this fall. Avalos, a graduate of Greenfield High School majoring in media production, earned the Richard Bement ’64 Scholarship and the Thomas Jake Beyer ’83 Award Scholarship. BW has a long history of scholarship support from alumni, faculty, trustees and friends. Over 460 named scholarships provide more than $4.8 million to help students attend, persist and graduate from the university. The scholarships vary in requirements, with many specifying financial need, a course of study, involvement on campus or a commitment to excellence in a particular field.
