At 93 years young, our mother passed away on December 1st in Pacific Grove. She went with peace in her heart, knowing how much she was loved.

Mom was born in Magdalena, Mexico to Miguel and Estela Azcona. She grew up with her brothers, Mike and Victor, in the small town of King City, California. She shared many stories with us of her childhood and of growing up during the war years.

In 1949, she married a shy, soft-spoken man from North Carolina, Bill Eason. After a short stint in Washington, D. C., they moved to Pacific Grove where she lived in the same house for sixty-four years.

Marie was blessed with four children; Michele (Ron), Bill, Stuart (Linda) & Brian (Carol); seven grandchildren (her “angels”) and three great-grandsons.

Marie worked for Safeway for thirty-five years, babysat for her grandkids, enjoyed garage sales and lived for the family celebrations at her house.

We will miss her laughter, sense of humor and feisty spirit. The family will have a Celebration of Life in the early months of 2019.

God bless you Stella. You will always be in our hearts.

Memorial donations in her memory can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundations (JDRF), 135 Main St., Ste. 1030, San Francisco, California, 94105.
