Maria Ayde Leon Garcia, 82, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, Thursday, January 3, 2019 at George Mee Memorial Hospital in King City.

Maria was born November 18, 1936 in Sonora, Mexico and had been a resident of Monterey County for most of her life. She owned a beauty salon in King City for many years, and also assisted with the family business, Garcia Labor Contracting.

She greatly enjoyed tending to her roses, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children; Guadalupe Garcia of Greenfield, Belen Garcia of Anaheim, Rodolfo (Estella) Garcia of Fresno, Mario Garcia of Fresno, Maria Ayde of Greenfield; grandchildren, Gustavo, Silda, Kristina, Rodolfo Jr, Andrew, Roman, Marcus, Anthony; great granddaughters, Leah, Alexa, Rebecca; sister, Consuelo Leon of Mexico; daughter-in-law, Aurora Garcia of San Jose, son-in-law, Gustavo Suarez of Greenfield. Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Secundino Garcia, son, Fernando Garcia.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 4 to 7 pm at Woodyard Funeral Home, Soledad; followed with rosary service at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be held, Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 10 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Greenfield, followed with burial at the Soledad Cemetery.
