SALINAS — Monterey County Workforce Development Board is partnering with Joby Aviation, a company developing an electric aircraft, to highlight open positions the company is seeking to fill across several departments at its growing facilities in both Marina and Santa Cruz.
A virtual job fair will be held for Joby Aviation on Thursday, Feb. 24, from 4 to 6 p.m., during which attendees will be able to chat with members of Joby’s recruiting team and apply for open positions.
Attendees will also learn more about Joby’s electric aircraft and sustainability-focused mission. The company is seeking to fill more than 200 openings across more than 20 roles, including engineering and manufacturing as well as general and administrative positions. Experience requirements vary by role.

Open positions at Joby include test engineers, test technicians, mechanical technicians, manufacturing technicians, employee relations partners and payroll specialists, among many others.
Founded in Santa Cruz, Joby Aviation is developing all-electric aircraft for a passenger transportation service to be launched in 2024. The company, which employs more than 1,000 people, demonstrated last year its aircraft can fly more than 150 miles and is quieter than most airplanes and helicopters in the air today.
Joby is ramping up its primary manufacturing facility at Marina Municipal Airport and is working with partners including Toyota, Uber and the U.S. Air Force to certify its aircraft and begin offering emissions-free flight to customers.
