KING CITY — A Caltrans pavement rehabilitation construction project along Highway 101 near King City will enter a new phase with a long-term lane closure set to begin next month.

Beginning Wednesday, Dec. 2, the left lane of northbound 101 will be closed from First Street to just north of the Jolon Road exit. This closure is expected to last through July 2021.

Also on Dec. 2, lane closures on northbound 101, currently in place between Wildhorse Road and First Street, will shift from a closure of the right lane to the left lane. After Dec. 11, all northbound lanes from south of Wildhorse to First will be open.

In addition, on Dec. 1 and 2, the northbound on- and off-ramps at Wildhorse Road and the northbound First Street off-ramp will be closed for striping operations. Work at these ramps will alternate so one of these exits will remain open.

OHL USA of Irvine is the contractor for this $78 million construction project, which is expected to be completed in 2021.
