To the Editor:

Sol Treasures, our anchor for the arts in South County, again has a musical show to share with you all — “The Spongebob Musical.”

I applaud the work of Director Jeff Hinderscheid, Choreographer Beau Rodriguez, Musical Director Isaac Rodriguez and all the backstage crew. Their efforts and expertise enable our young performers to present lively entertainment. I especially praise the undersea setting they’ve created. It is scintillating, colorful, surprising and evolves with the show’s action.

As the play begins, life is humming along (literally!) in the undersea village of Bikini Bottom when the threat of instant global warming strikes. Spongebob and friends confront the crisis! That’s all I’ll say. If you enjoy sprightly songs and spirited dance numbers, this is the show for you.

You may catch performances of this must-see show on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m., on Sunday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m., and on Saturday, Oct. 25, at noon or 4 p.m. Doors at the Robert Stanton Theater open a half hour prior to curtain time for each show.

General admission is $15. Call ahead for tickets — 831-386-1381 or pick them up at Sol Treasures.
